The 2026 MotoGP silly season promised some surprises that didn’t end up materialising, and so the field will stay mostly unchanged next year.

But at the premier class evolves, 2026 will be the last year to race the 1000cc machinery before the series transitions to new 850cc regulations in 2027, adding extra pressure for riders to enjoy a strong season that secures their futures.

Here’s a look at the 22 riders across factory and satellite teams that will be on the grid next year.

Ducati

Marc Márquez, Ducati

Márquez will attempt to defend his crown in 2026

Ducati

No93 Marc Márquez
No63 Francesco Bagnaia

The factory Ducati squad continues with its high-profile riders: Marc Márquez, looking to defend his latest world championship in the second year of his two-year contract, and Francesco Bagnaia, a two-time MotoGP champion looking to rebound after a challenging 2025 season.

Márquez joined the works Ducati team in 2025 from Gresini and demolished the competition, securing his seventh MotoGP crown with five rounds remaining.

In 2026, the Spaniard will attempt to clinch his 10th world championship title, again with Ducati.

Double world champion Bagnaia will remain with the Italian manufacturer after a trying 2025 during which the Italian won races but also hit rock bottom on occasion. Next year will be crucial to determine his future at Ducati.

Gresini (Ducati)

Alex Márquez and Fermin Aldeguer, Gresini

Both Gresini riders won races in 2025

Gresini

No73 Alex Márquez
No54 Fermin Aldeguer

Gresini will build on a successful and steady trajectory with its confirmed rider line-up: Alex Márquez and Fermin Aldeguer.

Márquez, entering his fourth season with Gresini, was in remarkable form during 2025, securing his first grand prix win in 2025 and becoming his brother’s main rival often.

His performances have earned him a factory Ducati bike for 2026.

Aldeguer, just 20, impressed in his rookie year and is poised to stay with the team for his second MotoGP season. The Spaniard, who has already scored his first victory in the championship, will not have a full factory Ducati like Márquez next season.

VR46 (Ducati)

Franco Morbidelli, VR46

Morbidelli has bounced back in 2025

VR46

No49 Fabio Di Giannantonio
No21 Franco Morbidelli

VR46 will also retain its current line-up in 2026, with Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli staying onboard Valentino Rossi‘s MotoGP team.

Di Giannantonio will be entering his third season with the Italian squad after a solid 2025 hindered by injuries.

Morbidelli appears to also have found his stride in his second year with his mentor Rossi’s team.

KTM

Pedro Acosta, KTM

Acosta is still chasing his first win

KTM

No37 Pedro Acosta
No33 Brad Binder

Another unchanged line-up: KTM will have Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder in 2026.

Rumours about Acosta’s future were rife during the early part of 2025, but the Spaniard will remain with KTM for another year in the hope that it can provide him with a competitive bike to fight for victories.

Binder, meanwhile, is expected to face a fight for his future with the team after being overshadowed by Acosta during 2025.

KTM Tech3

Enea Bastianini, Tech3

Bastianini has recovered from a troubled early season

KTM

No12 Maverick Viñales
No23 Enea Bastianini

Tech3 will field Maverick Viñales and Enea Bastianini again in 2026.

Viñales missed part of the 2025 season due to injury but showed strong form before that setback, leading the KTM riders alongside Acosta.

Bastianini had a challenging early part of 2025 but has steadily improved, clearing doubts about a possible early exit despite having a contract for next season.

Aprilia

Jorge Martín, Aprilia

Martín has stayed on at Aprilia despite early-season dramas

Aprilia

No1 Jorge Martín
No72 Marco Bezzecchi

The Aprilia line-up will again feature Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi, despite the Spaniard’s future at the team being shrouded in doubt for much of 2025.

Despite activating a contract clause that he believed could allow him to leave Aprilia early, Martin ultimately confirmed he will remain with the Italian manufacturer for the 2026 season.

His hesitation stemmed from a difficult year marked by injuries and concerns over Aprilia’s progress, which led to public contractual disputes and speculation about a switch to Honda.

Amid Martin’s problems, Bezzecchi emerged as a real team leader, scoring three wins and often being Marc Márquez’s closest challenger, making him a rider to watch out for in 2026.

Trackhouse (Aprilia)

Raúl Fernández, Trackhouse Aprilia

Trackhouse is retaining Fernández and Ogura

Trackhouse

No25 Raúl Fernández
No79 Ai Ogura

Trackhouse will carry forward with Raúl Fernández and Ai Ogura for the 2026 season, marking another unchanged line-up.

Fernandez has shown flashes of promise in his second season with the American team, but will need more consistency next year to secure his future.

Ogura had an stellar debut in MotoGP, but his star faded as the season progressed. If he can re-find his early form, he could be a protagonist in 2026.

Yamaha

Alex Rins, Yamaha

Yamaha will debut a new V4 engine next year

Yamaha

No20 Fabio Quartararo
No42 Alex Rins

Yamaha will head into 2026 with the same line-up it’s had for the past two years in Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins.

2021 world champion Quartararo continues his wait to get a bike to allow him to fight in front, and Yamaha is hoping its new V4-powered prototype will be the one, even though the Frenchman wasn’t impressed with it during its first test.

Rins has endured two difficult years with Yamaha and the pressure will be on next season if he wants a chance at keeping his ride beyond that.

Pramac (Yamaha)

Jack Miller, Pramac

Miller will be joined by Razgatlıoğlu next year

Pramac

No43 Jack Miller
No54 Toprak Razgatlıoğlu

Pramac will be one of only two team MotoGP teams with a different line-up next season, with World Superbike star Toprak Razgatlıoğlu making his long-rumoured switch.

Razgatlıoğlu’s adaptation to MotoGP will be one of the major stories to follow next year given his impressive record in Superbike, but a lot will depend on Yamaha making progress towards the front.

Jack Miller stays on for another year after beating team-mate Miguel Oliveira in their fight to retain the ride.

Honda

Luca Marini, Honda

Marini has raised his game in 2025

Honda

No10 Luca Marini
No36 Joan Mir

Honda has retained Luca Marini and Joan Mir for another unchanged rider line-up.

Marini has bounced back from a challenging first year to become one of the Japanese manufacturer’s leading riders, earning a new deal that will only cover 2026.

Mir’s deal also runs out after next year and the Spaniard will need to raise his game to secure his ride after two years of disappointing results.

LCR Honda

Johann Zarco, LCR Honda

Zarco continued to be Honda’s leading rider

LCR

No5 Johann Zarco
No84 Diogo Moreira

Honda’s satellite team will again run Johann Zarco next season, the Frenchman joined by Brazilian rookie Diogo Moreira.

Zarco has been Honda’s strongest rider since joining the manufacturer, and continues to get works support going into 2026.

Moreira, 21, arrives in MotoGP with Honda after fighting for the Moto2 title in 2025. He will be one of only two rookies next year alongside Razgatlıoğlu.
