The 2017 FIA World Rallycross championship got underway in Barcelona last weekend and showed yet again why its popularity continues to grow.
There’s more factory involvement across the board this year, with Mattias Ekström’s EKS Motorsports squad now fully Audi backed and Volkswagen Motorsport lending more of its support to Petter Solberg’s PSRX team.
At round one in Spain, it was reigning champion Ekström who claimed the first win of the season in a typically exciting final.
