At the very beginning of 2014 I spent five days on the Dakar Rally with the Race2Recovery team. You can read about the trip in the April issue of Motor Sport, but tomorrow night at 7.30 Gaucho Productions’ documentary about the team will air on Eurosport.

Focusing on Daniel ‘Baz’ Whittingham, who was part of a bomb disposal unit when he was blown up in Afghanistan, the half-hour programme follows the team’s fortunes as it got one of its vehicles to the finish for the second year in a row.
