Lewis Hamilton hadn't won in almost three years – and then produced a sensational victory at Silverstone 2024. James Elson explains why it was his best ever
The Aston Martin Vantage has a new look
Twelve years on from the modern model’s first launch, Aston Martin has given the car a comprehensive overhaul, squeezing 510PS/503bhp from its Mercedes-AMG-based four-litre twin-turbo V8. It’s set low and far back for better centre of gravity and the car is the first to fitted with Aston Martin’s electronic rear differential.
The 0-62 is down to 3.5sec, topping out at 195mph.
Aston Martin has labeled the new Vantage’s stance as ‘predatory, inspired by the track-only Vulcan’ and ‘the most powerful and provocative design language ever seen in a Vantage’.
Prices will start at £120,900 in the UK, €154,000 in Germany and $149,995 in the USA, with deliveries expected during the second quarter of next year.
The GTE variant is being released this evening.
