Video: 1950 British GP in colour for the first time to celebrate birth of F1
Formula 1 has released footage of the first-ever world championship grand prix, in colour as never before, to celebrate 75 years since the Silverstone race in 1950
Here we have an interesting video from the United SportsCar Championship round at Laguna Seca. Former Indycar racer and Extreme Speed team owner Scott Sharp had two cameras rolling during practice: one on the bodywork of his HPD and the other on his helmet.
The twin-view video shows the vibrations that jostle the driver around the hills of Monterey and also the constant problem of traffic in sports car racing. Check out the bit of professional courtesy at the 4.30 mark.
