Bern was a late replacement when Zürich cancelled its 2019 Formula E race due to clashing festivals. A temporary 13-turn course was chosen in the Ostberg sector of the Swiss capital, across the River Aare from the historic old town. The start and finish lines were on Laubeggstrasse with the pitlane at Turn 1. Champion elect Jean-Eric Vergne won the race for DS Techeetah but the event was not included on the season six calendar.
