Chisholm Speedway was a half-mile dirt oval situated at what was Montgomery Fairgrounds on the northern outskirts of Montgomery, Alabama. Just 2,000 turned up when it hosted a 100-mile NASCAR Grand National race in September 1956, when Buck Baker increased his points lead with victory in Kiekhaefer Outboards Chrysler. The promoter lost money, and the series did not return.
