Disney World

Built in late 1995 by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at the southern end of the parking lot for Florida’s Walt Disney World. The tri-oval shape of the track was dictated by the space available. Each corner is different, making optimum car set-up difficult to achieve. Opened on 28 November 1995, the Disney World track held the first-ever Indy Racing League race in January 1996, but was soon dropped from the calendar. It was used for testing into the new Millennium but closed in 2015.
