The Moosehead Grand Prix transferred from the Citadel Hill street circuit in 1994 to the wide runways and service roads of the Shearwater Air Force Base on the eastern bank of the Bedford Basin. It was relatively smooth but flat and featureless. That year, Mexican Gianfranco Cané beat the visiting British F2 Championship field on a one-off for Fred Goddard Racing. IMSA’s World Sports Car class drew a small field (only seven WSC cars started) and attendance in 1995 so the event was dropped.
