The motor club at Grängesberg organised race meetings on the frozen Lake Hörken to the west in 1935 and 1936. Visiting Norwegian Eugen Bjørnstad beat the locals in his Alfa Romeo 8C “Monza” with a crowd of 13,000 reported for the 1935 race.
