Piriapolis held an annual race from 1994 on a narrow street circuit with the startline and pits on the Rambla de los Argentinos. The circuit was named after 1950s racing driver Asdrubal Bayardo for its final edition in 2011. There had been another Piriapolis circuit at Punta Fria in 1952.
