A flat circuit built around a horse racecourse; Pukekohe Park Raceway was the home of the New Zealand Grand Prix from its opening in 1963 until it moved to Manfeild in 1991. The race returned to Pukekohe in 2000 and an Australian V8 Supercar round was held a year later. The hairpin that followed the long back straight was the trickiest point on the circuit before a new complex was added in 2013. Spectator banks near the startline provide excellent viewing. The circuit closed in 2023 as owners (Auckland Thoroughbred Racing) concentrated on equine sport.
