The AAA sanctioned a race on a 4.298-mile dirt road course as part of the three-day 1915 Southern Arizona Fair on 20 March. The startline and finish of what was referred to as Tucson Speedway in contemporary reports were based at the fairgrounds which were east of Campbell Avenue, south of 36th Street and north of what is now the Kino Sports Complex. Superstar Barney Oldfield beat Maxwell team-mate Billy Carlson as he had done at Venice, California three days earlier.
