The 1908 Corsa Vetturette Torino attracted a small but select eight-car field headed by the three-car Peugeot team and Louis Naudin’s Sizaire-Naudin. Automobile Club di Torino organised the race in January to coincide with the fifth Esposizione Internazionale on a 22-mile Circuito del Pino road course to the southeast of the city, with start at Madonna del Pilone. Fog and mud prevailed during the event which was led from start-to-finish by local star Giosuè Giuppone’s Lion-Peugeot. The former bicycle champion beat the only other finisher by half-an-hour.
