Wine Creek

A half-mile paved oval was built on the site of a former golf course on the banks of the Susquehanna River in upstate New York and opened on 28 July 1946. Tim Flock won the only senior NASCAR race to be held at Shangri-La Speedway on his way the 1952 Grand National title. It closed in 1956 due to poor attendances but reopened in 1962. The grandstand burned down at one stage and a dragstrip was added in 2002. It was renamed Tioga Motorsports Park in 1992 but closed its doors in 2005 with the site turned into a gravel mine.
