This privacy policy sets out how Motor Sport Magazine Ltd (“Motor Sport”) uses and protects the information you provide to Motor Sport when you use the Motor Sport magazine website (“Site”).


Motor Sport is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you any personal information that identifies you when using this Site, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy notice.

What we collect

We do not ourselves collect or retain any of the following information:

When do we collect your personal information?


We collect data which identifies you personally to us in the the following ways:


  • By registering as a subscriber
  • By subscribing to our newsletter

  • By voting or entering a competition
  • By emailing us at one of our email addresses listed on the Site, like our contact page
  • By providing us information through third party service providers, for example, survey software such as Survey Gizmo.

Additionally, we may also collect data which provides us with a better understanding how the Site is being used and performing, but does not personally identify you.


We use the third party provider DISQUS (“Forum”) in order to allow you to with a comment and discussion service on our Site by using your pre-existing Twitter or Facebook accounts.  We do not have access or collect any details from the Forum including, but limited to, your email address, personal data, private information or communications, Twitter or Facebook information when you use the Forum.

Cookies


We use cookies to help personalise your use of our sites. A cookie is a small piece of information sent to your computer's hard drive by the web server so that our Site can remember your computer. What we do with the information we gather

We aim to only share the absolute minimum information necessary with other service providers and their suppliers to fulfill a service or contractual commitment; such as delivering a magazine by post or fulfilling an order from the Motor Sport shop.


Free digital, print or bundle subscription services:

Where you have taken up a free trial offer, be it a digital, print or our bundle subscription (both digital and print products combined) we may pass your details on to third party regulatory bodies, such as ABC. The purposes of these aforementioned third parties is to control and regulate free magazine distribution and to provide an industry standard measurement for tracking global magazine circulation. In rare instances, these regulatory bodies may contact you to confirm that you a) requested a print, digital or bundle copy of Motor Sport magazine b) received notification that a digital or bundle edition was available to access. These third parties will not use your data for any other purposes.


International Data Transfers


We do not transfer or share your data to any party or processor outside of the European Union.


3rd party marketing


We also work with a number of 3rd parties on a partnership or commercial basis. In such instances, we will only share your email address if you have agreed for us to do so by opting-in to receive 3rd party communications.
