A personal photographic record of motor racing in the 1950s and 1960s
Keith Duerden & Robert Barker
Duerden snapped Moss in his second event, but as a professional photographer in other fields racing was a passion, not a job, until retirement brought time to publish this well-presented work stretching from Farina to Keke Rosberg.
Meets from Crystal Palace to Le Mans are enlivened by drop-ins of programmes and posters, plus nice vignettes such as Hawthorn making rude signs at his pits and Fangio grinning from his Lancia about 2ft away. Duerden also includes rallies and his PR work in the oil industry.
An enjoyable trip back. GC
