The Alfa-liveried car shows some very original solutions in sidepod layout. It has very high front suspension on hub extensions (as per Mercedes and Toro Rosso but taken to a greater extreme) and the lowest of all 2018 radiator inlets. These inlets are split, with a smaller opening higher up. This layout has entailed a fat rear end. The side impact structure is split from the sidepods, which are almost Red Bull-narrow and therefore without much undercut.
