VSCC Yorkshire Ridings weekend

The VSCC Yorkshire Ridings Weekend (10-13 August) saw Mark Garfitt and Dood Pearce make best performance in a 1937 Frazer Nash-BMW 319/55. A 1926 Morris Cowley and a 1928 P-type Lea-Francis were winners of the other classes. H&H awards were won by a 1914 Shelsley Crossley and a 1925 Trojan, but the winner overall was Alan Lupton in his 1938 Lea-Francis.

I n 1903 the Hon Charles Rolls, driving an 80hp Mors, won the Ballyfinnane hill-climb in County Kerry, taking home a silver cup. It is worth noting that the Midland AC, which was founded in 1901 and has since 1905 held the famous Shelsley Walsh hillclimbs, has also trials and other events on its fixture list.
