Comminges G.P. Louis Chiron won the Comminges Grand Prix by .5 sec. from Yves Giraud-Cabantous. Chiron drove a 4 1/2-litre "Lago Sports" single-seater Talbot, Cabantous a 4-litre Talbot. The 1949 Trials Drivers' Star

After the recent Colmore Trial, Ken Wharton was presented with the 1948 British Trials Drivers' Association Star and a silver-starred lapel badge was awarded to Onslow Bartlett, the runner-up. The marking system is slightly modified for the 1949 Star contest, and only closed invitation trials are recognised. Members of the B.T.D.A. may nominate eight approved trials and their best six will count...
