Silverstone VSCC

Although 'new' cars were thin on the ground at the VSCC's traditional April season-opener at Silverstone, there was a healthy entry for the eleven-race programme and some close-fought finishes. And after Friday's wash-out test day it was a relief to find Saturday 13th calm and sunny all day. A capacity field of 34 starters contested the Brooks 1950's Sports Car Race, with the front row of Frank...

VSCC Pembrey Races

On June 25 a representative turn-out of VSCC racing members presented themselves at the 1.456-mile circuit on the South Wales coast for a nine-race Parry Thomas Memorial confrontation. Woodhouse beats snow, ice and fire

Mark Woodhouse claimed opening glory in the Formula Junior Championship as Mallory Park dodged snow and ice to open the season. Woodhouse's Lotus 20 just had the legs on Steve Smith's Cooper T59. Many eyes were on the progress of Simon Diffey. A drama over crash helmets meant that he missed the scant seven-minute qualifying session and his Lotus 20 started from the back of the grid, but once into...
