Termas de Río Hondo, Argentina: Marc Márquez took a dominant first win of the season from pole for Honda, beating Valentino Rossi’s Yamaha next up by almost 10 seconds. There was controversy further back though as Cal Crutchlow got a ride-through penalty for a jump start.
Tour de Corse, France: Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville took a dramatic win after M-Sport’s Elfyn Evans punctured on the final stage and dropped to third. Evans had led by 11.5sec going into the powerstage after a stunning time earlier in the day had got him the lead.
Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth: Denny Hamlin won in Texas for Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota, though he had to overcome two penalties. First he was guilty of pitlane speeding then later a tyre left his pitbox, but a combination of a subsequent caution period and Hamlin’s pace got him the win.
Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth: Kyle Busch continued his amazing 2019 form across the NASCAR series by winning the Texas Xfinity race in his Toyota Supra. He had a perfect launch at the final restart then held off the pursuing Tyler Reddick for the final eight laps.
Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth: Busch also triumphed in the Trucks race, his fourth consecutive Trucks win. He led 97 of the 147 laps in his Toyota, and held off Stewart Friesen’s Chevrolet by 1.269sec.
