Racing Point launches the RP20 and BWT as new title sponsor

Racing Point has replaced its title sponsor and released images of its new 2020 Formula 1 RP20 car

Racing Point has launched its 2020 car with BWT as its new title sponsor, taking the place of betting company SportPesa.

The Silverstone-based team will compete in its last season known as BWT Racing Point F1 Team before becoming Aston Martin Racing in 2021.

The new RP20 was unveiled at BWT’s headquarters in Mondsee, Austria, with both Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll on hand to reveal the car.

“This expanded collaboration truly reflects the loyalty, commitment and energy that they bring to the Racing Point family.

“I’m pleased we could launch our season here in Mondsee at the home of BWT and shine a spotlight on the valuable work being done by BWT to drive sustainability.

“We have enjoyed many memorable moments both on and off track already and we now look forward to adding more in the 2020 season.”

Racing Point finished the 2019 season in seventh and will be hoping to challenge for fourth.
