Richard Attwood did just this, alongside many other notable sports car successes and a stint in Formula 1. He still races today at places such as Goodwood, and he is still winning. However, some of the most fascinating parts of Attwood’s career came during testing the early 917 – a monster of a car that “wanted to kill him”. He’s a straight talker and always provides a fascinating insight into the world of motor racing.

Free entry! Motor Sport Magazine’s Game Changer Event and Brunch are taking place within the Peter Best Drive-It Day.

Back for it’s second year, the Peter Best’ Classics at Braxted Day 2022 will be bigger and better than before, with up to 1000 cars attending.

All types of vehicles are more than welcome to attend. Whether you drive a classic, modified, supercar or something else, bring it along for others to admire.

As well as vehicles from various car clubs and motoring enthusiasts, there will also be a static display of several rare and interesting vehicles.

Meet fellow car club members and motoring enthusiasts, experience an array of delicious food served by a variety of vintage food venders throughout the day and admire the wonderful mixture of displays from classics through to modern day collectable vehicles.

Don’t worry if you don’t own a classic, modified or super car, you are still more than welcome to attend our event.
