Monte Carlo, Monaco: The all-electric series is meant to turn your perception of racing on its head, It managed that at Monaco which, in Formula E configuration, is one of the fastest tracks on the championship calendar. Not only that, but there was overtaking too. The closely-fought race ended in victory for Jean-Eric Vergne, making him the first driver to win two races this season - nine rounds in.

World Rallycross

Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium: The Ardennes circuit hosted last weekend's World Rallycross round, with Spa's Eau Rouge corner making up part of the tarmac and gravel circuit. Don't expect the cars to be delicately threaded through the dipping, twisting section: the final was a bruiser with barging, broken bodywork and clouds of dust, as Timur Timerzyanov emerged the victor.
