Jaguar to resume D-type production

Car Culture

Jaguar has announced it is to hand build 25 new D-types at its Coventry works for the first time in more than 60 years.

It will be the third continuation project out of Jaguar Classic, following the six lightweight E-types built in 2014 and the nine XKSSs currently in production. The ‘new’ D-types will be available in longnose and shortnose configuration, at buyers’ discretion.

The 25 created will complete the intended 100-car run, and will be built to the original specification.
