México City, Mexico: In the Nations Cup, Team Nordic (Tom Kristensen and Johan Kristoffersson) took victory. The pair met Team Germany (Mick Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel) in the Nations Cup final, driving Mexican-built Vuhl 05RR cars. Mexican WRC2 driver Benito Guerra took victory in the overall Race of Champions, beating Loïc Duval in the best-of-three final.
Sepang, Malaysia: Rinus van Kalmthout held off Yifei Yi in races four and five of the second round of the F3 Asian Winter Series. Yi took victory in race six at van Kalmthout’s expense, while Alessandro Ghiretti completed the podium in all three races. Series favourite Dan Ticktum received a 10sec penalty in race six for overtaking under the safety car and is all but out of the title race. Van Kalmthout and Yi lead the championship after two rounds.
